Yeah, it’s been forever since the last update and I have a few that have been sitting. Here’s one batch of recordings and I’ll have another up soon (like, real soon).

Frustrations & Tyvek – 2007-11-16 – Chill & Mingle, Hamtramck, MI

A raucous Friday night in Hamtramck featuring cheap PBR and two of the bands helping to keep Detroit punk vital (along with Clockcleaner from Philadelphia). Frustrations started out this night, churning out a frenetic set of punked-up psychedelic surf-rock.  They’ll be releasing the vinyl version of their debut full-length, Glowing Red Pill, on August 1st at The Belmont in Hamtramck just before departing on a month-long tour. Before that, you can catch them July 25th at The Bohemian National Home during the first night of X! Fest. I definitely recommend you make it to one of those shows.

Not much more I can say about Tyvek that I haven’t already said before. They’re still one of my favorite Detroit bands. This night featured just Kevin, Larry and Matt and a whole lot of sweaty revelers. (Jon Dones’ great photos from this show are on Tyvek’s MySpace page.) Another great set featuring a couple cool yet-to-be-released songs.
